Dr. Dhamodaran is one of the most renowned interventional cardiologists in the Country. With his DM in Cardiology from Madras Medical College and Research Institute (Dr. MGR Medical University), and over 24 years of a highly proficient experience in interventional cardiology, he brings with him, unparalleled expertise and caliber in interventional cardiac procedures.

His expertise in interventional cardiology is reflected in his postdoctoral fellowship at National Board (FNB) from Escorts Heart Institute, Delhi. He is also a Fellow Of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI) (USA).

He is an expert in a wide spectrum of diagnostic procedures such as Coronary, Renal, Carotid, and peripheral angiograms and Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) diagnostic studies, and various procedures in interventional cardiology such as image-guided complex and multi-vessel angioplasty and stenting using devices such as Rotablator, orbital Atherectomy, laser angioplasty, thrombectomy devices, cutting balloon angioplasty and intravascular lithotripsy, CHIP PCI with Impella support, Primary PCI for acute myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock care with ECMO and Other MCS. He is an expert in Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Transcatheter mitral valve replacement ( TMVR) Valvuloplasties (BMV, BAV, & BPV), Device closures for ASD, VSD & PDA, Coarctation Stenting and Endovascular Interventions like Coarctation Stenting, Carotid, Renal, Peripheral Vascular Stenting,  TEVAR for aortic aneurysm, IVC Filter deployment, With his vast experience as a high-volume operator, he has performed more than 25000 cardiac catheterization procedures till now.
